India’s Archers Kick Off Campaign at Paris 2024 Olympics, seal quarter-finals spot

Paris: India’s journey at the Paris 2024 Olympics began with a promising start as the nation’s six archers took to the field to secure favourable seedings in the individual ranking events, propelling them into the quarterfinals. Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur, and Deepika Kumari led the charge, showcasing their skills and determination.

Ankita Bhakat emerged as the top performer among the Indian archers, securing the 11th spot with a commendable 54 points in the final end, bringing her aggregate to 666. Bhajan Kaur followed, scoring 53 points to finish 22nd in the standings with an aggregate of 659. Deepika Kumari, one of India’s most celebrated archers, secured 57 points in the final end, landing her in the 23rd position with an aggregate of 658.
