
Pune: The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) is revving up for its second season with ambitious plans to extend its footprint nationwide, having assessed 15 stadiums for potential future races.
After a successful inaugural season that witnessed unprecedented achievements, ISRL is poised to elevate the excitement of motorsports in India to new heights. The league’s debut season saw remarkable attendance, with each stadium operating at over 90% capacity and drawing nearly 30,000 overall attendees, setting a new benchmark in Indian motorsports.
Featuring 48 of the country’s top riders alongside international talent, the first season showcased thrilling races across five competitive categories, with six franchisee teams competing in three electrifying venues.
Veer Patel, Co-founder & Director of the Indian Supercross Racing League, expressed his enthusiasm for the league’s future endeavors: “The resounding success of ISRL’s inaugural season has firmly established our presence in the global motorsports arena and has generated significant interest from brands eager to associate with our burgeoning platform. Supercross, captivating approximately 20 million fans in India, is poised for exponential growth.”
“Over the next three years, our goal is to engage a captive audience of 150 million, propelling Supercross to unprecedented heights in India and fostering its rapid expansion. As we gear up for Season 2 of the Indian Supercross Racing League, we are energized by the overwhelming support from fans and participants, propelling us towards a more expansive, exhilarating, and faster experience,” Patel added.
The upcoming season promises to attract international talent and provide a platform for global brands to showcase their products and services to a diverse audience. The inaugural season set new benchmarks for motorsport viewership in India, laying a solid foundation for the league’s growth and development.
