Bali, Indonesia: Indian Navy platforms INS Shardul and the Long Range Maritime Surveillance P8I aircraft have arrived in Bali, Indonesia, to participate in the prestigious International Fleet Review (IFR) 2025, scheduled from February 15 to February 22. The event, a significant multinational naval gathering, will be reviewed by the Hon’ble President of Indonesia and will witness the participation of naval forces from various countries.
During the IFR, the Indian Navy will engage in several high-level interactions, including the International Maritime Security Symposium and tactical floor games. The crew will also participate in multinational activities such as a city parade, baby turtle release, coral and mangrove plantation, and beach cleaning, reinforcing India’s commitment to environmental conservation and maritime cooperation.
Following the IFR, INS Shardul and the P8I aircraft will take part in Exercise Komodo, a multilateral naval exercise focused on enhancing maritime interoperability and regional security cooperation. This initiative strengthens defense ties and underscores India’s active role in fostering collaboration among Indo-Pacific naval forces.
This engagement follows the participation of INS Mumbai and the P8I aircraft in the LA PEROUSE exercises held in Indonesia in January 2025. Additionally, the visit of Admiral Muhammad Ali, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, to India as part of the high-level delegation accompanying His Excellency President Prabowo Subianto, Chief Guest for the Republic Day Parade 2025, further deepened naval cooperation between the two nations.
