New Delhi: The Indian National Young Academy of Science (INYAS) successfully conducted its ninth Annual General Body Meeting on February 17th, bringing together young scientists and scholars from across the country. The esteemed event featured Prof. Ranjana Aggarwal, Director of CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), as the Guest of Honour.
During the gathering, Prof. Aggarwal delivered a thought-provoking talk, shedding light on the vital role of science communication in fostering a scientific temperament within society. INYAS, established in 2014, stands as the sole recognized academy of young scientists in India. The academy was founded with a visionary goal of promoting science education and fostering networking opportunities among young scientists. Having successfully completed a five-year incubation period, INYAS has entered a new phase of growth and development since 2020.
CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), a constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, specializes in science communication, evidence-based policy research, and studies focused on science, technology, and innovation. The institute is renowned for its publications, including journals, books, magazines, newsletters, and reports that contribute to the dissemination of knowledge in the fields of science and technology.
