Indian Coast Guard on High Alert as Cyclone Dana Approaches; Preventive Measures in Place

As Cyclone Dana is forecast to make landfall along the coasts of West Bengal and Odisha on October 24-25, 2024, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Region (North-East) has implemented a series of preventive actions to ensure the safety of lives and property at sea. With the cyclone intensifying, the ICG has been closely monitoring the situation and proactively preparing for any emergency response needed in the aftermath.

In anticipation of the cyclone’s impact, ICG ships, aircraft, and Remote Operating Stations in West Bengal and Odisha have been broadcasting continuous weather warnings and safety advisories to fishermen and mariners.
