Mumbai: Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, announced today that India Energy Week (IEW) 2025 will be the second-largest energy event globally in terms of participation, exhibition space, and sessions. Scheduled to take place from February 11–14, 2025, at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi, the event will set new benchmarks in the energy sector, hosting Ministers, CEOs, and industry leaders from around the world.
IEW 2025 will feature a 65% expansion in exhibition space, growing to 28,000 square meters, and an increase in conference sessions to 105. The event is expected to attract over 70,000 global delegates and include participation from 500 speakers representing key international voices. Country pavilions from 10 nations, including the U.S., UK, Russia, Japan, Germany, and the Netherlands, will showcase advancements in hydrogen, renewables, biofuels, petrochemicals, and other thematic zones.
Over 20 Foreign Energy Ministers and Deputy Ministers, Heads of International Organizations, and 90 CEOs from Fortune 500 energy companies are set to participate, underlining India’s growing influence in shaping global energy transition dialogues.
The Clean Cooking Ministerial will be a centerpiece of the event, offering a platform to strengthen global collaboration on clean cooking solutions. India’s Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), which has successfully addressed energy access challenges, will take center stage as a global template.
The conference will also emphasize energy security, just transitions, resilience, collaboration, capacity building, and digital advancements as critical themes. Eight thematic zones will highlight India’s focus on innovation in areas like hydrogen, renewables, and advanced energy solutions.
IEW 2025 will actively engage youth and innovators by involving leading institutions like IITs and startup platforms such as “Avinya” and “Vasudha.” Over 500 students from Delhi/NCR will participate, showcasing technology-driven solutions and innovative ideas to drive energy transitions.
Speaking to the media, Puri emphasized the significance of India’s leadership in the energy sector. “With its rising influence, India is shaping the global energy transition dialogue. IEW 2025 will position India at the forefront of global energy transitions, showcasing our commitment to sustainable and affordable energy solutions,” he said.
With its unparalleled scale, international representation, and focus on innovation, India Energy Week 2025 is poised to strengthen India’s role as a global leader in energy transitions. It will not only provide a platform for showcasing advancements but also catalyze efforts to ensure equitable access to energy resources worldwide.
