India and Germany Strengthen Defence Ties at 17th Military Cooperation Sub Group Meeting
Berlin: The 17th edition of the India-Germany Military Cooperation Sub Group (MCSG) meeting concluded successfully in Berlin on October 2, 2024. The two-day event focused on enhancing bilateral military cooperation and deepening defence engagements between the two nations. Held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, the discussions highlighted new initiatives aimed at broadening the scope of ongoing defence collaborations.
The MCSG is a vital forum for fostering defence relations between India and Germany, facilitating regular dialogues at both the strategic and operational levels. It brings together representatives from India’s Integrated Defence Staff and Germany’s Department of International Cooperation within the Armed Forces. This year’s meeting was co-chaired by the Deputy Assistant Chief of Integrated Defence Staff for International Defence Cooperation from India and the Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Armed Forces Office from Germany.
During the discussions, both sides expressed commitment to advancing military cooperation through joint initiatives, strategic dialogues, and strengthening defence partnerships across various sectors. The meeting underscored the growing defence relationship between India and Germany, paving the way for more collaborative efforts in the future.
