New Delhi: With the Hero Hockey India League (HIL) 2025–26 set to make a much-anticipated return to the hockey hub of India, Bhubaneswar, from January 17, Hockey India on Tuesday announced that tickets have gone live and will be available free of cost for fans. Ticket booking opened at 11:00 am IST, aiming to ensure maximum fan participation as the league reaches its climax in Odisha.
The prestigious league will culminate with its grand finale on January 26, promising high-voltage action and packed stands as top hockey stars from India and across the world take the field.
Expressing optimism over the league’s return to Bhubaneswar, Hero HIL Governing Committee Chairperson Dr Dilip Tirkey said the decision to offer free tickets was taken to encourage more fans to experience live hockey. “As the Hero Hockey India League returns to the hockey hub of India in Bhubaneswar, there is a lot of excitement among fans to watch their favourite stars in action. Making tickets free of cost will encourage hockey lovers from across Odisha to come and enjoy the thrilling matches,” he said.
Echoing similar sentiments, HIL Governing Committee Member Bhola Nath Singh said the league’s finale on January 26 is expected to witness a packed stadium. “Hero HIL will culminate in Bhubaneswar and we expect fans to come together and enjoy #hockeykajashn. Expanding the fan base across regions has always been our goal, and the final in Bhubaneswar will be a true celebration of the sport,” he added.
The revamped edition of the league features an impressive lineup of eight men’s teams and four women’s teams, promising fast-paced and exciting matches under the new competition format. In the men’s category, Vedanta Kalinga Lancers are currently leading the points table after the first phase in Chennai, while SG Pipers have already secured their place in the women’s final as table toppers.

All matches of the Hero Hockey India League will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Ten 1, Sony Sports Ten 3 and DD Sports, while live streaming will be available on Waves and the Hockey India League YouTube channel, making the excitement accessible to fans across the country.
