Bhubaneswar: Niranjan Pujari, Hon’ble Minister of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, inaugurated a modern offset printing press today at Kharvel Nagar, Unit-III, Bhubaneswar. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Shalini Pandit, Health and Family Welfare Secretary Commissioner cum Secretary, H&FW, D. Bandha, Mission Director, National Health Mission Odisha, Dr. Bijay Ku Mohapatra, Director Health Services, Dr. Niranjan Mishra, Director Public Health, Dr. Bijay Ku Panigarahi, Director Family Welfare, and other senior officers of the H&FW Department.
The newly inaugurated offset printing press, equipped with cutting-edge technology, will enhance the capacity of the State Institute of Health & Family Welfare. The institute is dedicated to public health awareness and the capacity building of health staff. The printing press will play a crucial role in preparing various printed communication materials, including leaflets, posters, and booklets.
The highlight of the new facility is the automatic multi-color printing machine, capable of printing approximately 13,000 multi-color posters per hour. This state-of-the-art machine, designed with the latest technology, occupies minimal space, ensures high-quality printing, and operates with low power consumption. The automation features connected to the printing press make it a versatile tool for efficiently meeting the printing needs of the health department and other government entities. The introduction of such advanced technology is expected to streamline printing operations and contribute to the seamless dissemination of vital information.
