
Bhubaneswar: With the electoral fervour gripping the state, Odisha braces itself for the commencement of the electoral process as the Gazette notification for the first phase of elections has been officially issued.
As per the schedule unveiled by the Election Commission, the window for filing nominations opens today, April 18, and will remain open until April 25. Following this, the scrutiny of nomination papers is slated for April 26, with April 29 marked as the last date for the withdrawal of nominations.
The first phase of elections in Odisha is scheduled to take place on May 13, encompassing four Lok Sabha constituencies – Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput, and Berhampur – along with 28 Assembly seats. Voters across these constituencies will cast their ballots from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on polling day.
