First-ever (2+2) India-Brazil Political and Military Dialogue held in New Delhi Energising Strategic Partnership
New Delhi: India and Brazil engaged in their inaugural (2+2) Political and Military Dialogue, held in New Delhi today. The dialogue, co-chaired by high-ranking officials from both nations, marks a significant step forward in enhancing cooperation across various sectors.
From the Indian side, the dialogue was led by Additional Secretary (LAC) G. V. Srinivas from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Joint Secretary (IC) Vishwesh Negi from the Ministry of Defence (MoD). On the Brazilian front, Director Marcelo Camara from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and Rear Admiral Fernando de Luca Marques de Oliviera from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) took charge of the discussions.
The talks encompassed a wide array of strategic domains including defence, space exploration, energy collaboration, critical minerals procurement, technological exchange, counter-terrorism efforts, as well as regional and multilateral cooperation. Both delegations showcased a strong commitment to addressing mutual concerns and exploring avenues for deeper engagement.
