Exhibition Commemorating “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” Inaugurated at Lalit Kala Academy
New Delhi: An exhibition marking the “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” was inaugurated today at Lalit Kala Academy (LKA), Copernicus Marg, New Delhi. Organized by the Central Bureau of Communication under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the exhibition will run from August 14 to August 17, 2024, in the Ground Floor Gallery of LKA.
The inaugural ceremony drew a significant number of school students, along with other visitors, who came to witness the poignant display. The exhibition seeks to shed light on the personal stories, immense pain, and lasting impact of the 1947 partition on countless lives. Through historical photographs, videos, and interactive displays, it aims to honor the memories of those who suffered and foster a deeper understanding of the complexities and human cost of this monumental event.
In addition to reflecting on the past, the exhibition offers future generations, particularly students and youth, an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations about building a future grounded in empathy, reconciliation, and unity. It provides a valuable educational experience that aligns with school curricula and values.
