Bhubaneswar, January 8: The inaugural edition of “Culture, Crafts, and Conversations” was launched today as part of the Ekamra Walks initiative by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA). This unique cultural experience, timed to coincide with the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations, brings Odisha’s rich heritage to life through immersive and expertly curated walks.
Commencing at the Odisha State Archives, the event offered participants an exclusive glimpse into rare archival treasures, typically reserved for researchers. Visitors marveled at British-era audits of the iconic Jagannatha Temple and witnessed live demonstrations of document conservation techniques. Expert-guided tours provided insights into Odisha’s history and heritage, setting the tone for the rest of the walk.
The journey continued to the Kala Bhoomi – Odisha Crafts Museum, where participants explored traditional crafts and enjoyed a serene flute recital amidst the museum’s tranquil surroundings. This limited-edition cultural walk will run until January 10, offering visitors a chance to engage deeply with Odisha’s vibrant legacy.
