Ekamra Utsav Celebrations Illuminate Bhubaneswar with Art and Language Enchantment

Bhubaneswar: The Exhibition Grounds in Bhubaneswar witnessed a night of cultural vibrancy and artistic expression during the Ekamra Utsav celebrations hosted by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) on Tuesday. The event, a fusion of performances and discussions, focused on the profound role of language in shaping the future.

VK Pandian, Chairman of 5T, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, applauding the rich tradition and culture of Odisha. He pledged unwavering support to promote the state’s heritage globally. During the event, twenty-one artisans were felicitated by Chairman Karthik Pandian for their outstanding contributions to the world of art.

The enchanting rhythms of Odissi dance by Guru Padmashri Aruna Mohanty and her troupe captivated the audience, showcasing a culture woven with passion and grace. Kuna Tripathi, Chairman of the Odisha Film Development Corporation, celebrated the linguistic diversity of Odisha, emphasizing the pivotal role language plays in shaping the future.

Krishna Beura further mesmerized the audience with his soulful voice, adding to the cultural richness of the evening. The event culminated with a powerful drama, “Bubha Budhi,” delivering a poignant message about the significance of mother tongue. Through compelling portrayals, the play emphasized the deep connection between language and identity, resonating with the sentiment, “We are Odia, our language is Odia.”
