DPIIT Partners with boAt to Support Startup Innovation and Growth

New Delhi: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has forged a strategic partnership with boAt, a leading Indian brand in the audio and wearables market, to bolster innovation and provide targeted support for DPIIT-recognized startups. The collaboration particularly aims to benefit startups in the direct-to-consumer (D2C) and manufacturing sectors.

The alliance focuses on fostering innovation through dedicated programs and initiatives designed to mentor startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs. It will provide essential resources and guidance for critical milestones such as prototype development and offer insights and connections for international expansion, wherever feasible.

Speaking about the initiative, Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, Startup India, said, “This endeavour will be instrumental in equipping our startups with the best expertise and enormous resources to raise the bar of efficiency while contributing to India’s vision of becoming a hub for world-class manufacturing and entrepreneurship. By connecting startups with industry tycoons like boAt, we aim to foster innovation, enhance product development, and support the establishment of globally competitive brands.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Aman Gupta, Co-founder of boAt, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. “This partnership with DPIIT reflects our commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative. By joining hands with the government, we are poised to nurture a thriving ecosystem for product startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs,” he said.

The collaboration is set to create a dynamic environment for startups, providing them with access to industry expertise, resources, and a platform for scaling their operations globally. The focus on D2C and manufacturing startups aligns with India’s push towards self-reliance and innovation-driven growth.
