
Bhubaneswar: This morning, Odisha’s Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Water Resources (DoWR), Anu Garg, chaired a critical review meeting at the Flood Control Cell of Secha Sadan in Bhubaneswar to assess preparedness amid concerns about Cyclone Dana’s impact. Senior officers from the Department of Water Resources joined the meeting to evaluate the flood management strategies.
During the meeting, Garg took stock of the situation, advising nodal officers assigned to various districts to coordinate closely with district administrations. This collaboration aims to ensure efficient flood control activities and rapid response to any emergencies posed by Cyclone Dana.
The meeting emphasized proactive measures, reinforcing the DoWR’s commitment to effective coordination and preparedness in flood-prone regions, as Odisha braces for potential impacts from the cyclone.
