
Baleshwar/Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Wednesday visited flood-affected villages in Kurudiha Gram Panchayat under Baleshwar Sadar block to assess the situation on the ground and review the ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures.
During the visit, Parida interacted with residents affected by the floods to understand their immediate concerns, living conditions and essential needs. She assured them that the state government would extend all necessary support and ensure timely assistance to every affected family.
The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed the relief operations being carried out in the area and took stock of the challenges faced by local authorities in reaching affected households.
Holding discussions with district and local administrative officials at the site, Parida directed them to expedite the distribution of relief materials and ensure that food, drinking water and other essential supplies reach all affected families without delay.
She also instructed officials to closely monitor public health and safety in the flood-hit villages and take all necessary measures to prevent disease outbreaks and address any emerging issues promptly.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to supporting flood-affected communities, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the administration to maintain close coordination with all concerned departments to ensure that relief and rehabilitation efforts continue without interruption.
