Bhubaneswar: In light of the impending Cyclone Dana, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo conducted a thorough assessment of the situation in Kendrapara district, visiting key areas including Pattamundai, Rajnagar, Rajkanika, Aul, and Pentha. His visit aimed to oversee preparations and ensure the readiness of Ashraya centres designated for sheltering residents during the cyclone.

During his visit, Singhdeo reviewed on-ground preparations, addressing local concerns and confirming that safety protocols and essential services are effectively in place. “Our priority remains the well-being of our people, guaranteeing secure shelters, food supplies, and medical aid during this critical period,” he stated. He praised the strength and unity of the community, emphasizing, “Together, we will rise above these challenges. Let’s continue to stand by one another with resilience and hope.”

The Deputy CM also engaged with officials from Tata Power, directing them to prioritize the restoration of electricity in the aftermath of the cyclone.
