In a recent match against UP Warriorz at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Delhi Capitals’ pacer, Arundhati Reddy, has been fined 10 per cent of her match fees for breaching the Women’s Premier League (WPL) Code of Conduct.
Arundhati admitted to a Level 1 Offence under Article 2.5 of the WPL’s Code of Conduct. The violation pertains to the use of language, actions, or gestures that disparage or could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon her dismissal during a match.
The decision regarding Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct is final and binding as per the Match Referee’s jurisdiction. The disciplinary action emphasizes the league’s commitment to maintaining a high standard of sportsmanship and conduct on the field.
