Cutting-Edge Disaster Management Cubes Deployed in Ayodhya for Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

Ayodhya: In anticipation of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, two Arogya Maitri Disaster Management Cube-BHISHM have been strategically deployed. These revolutionary mobile hospitals, equipped with cutting-edge technology, aim to enhance medical readiness and response capabilities during the high-profile event, which is expected to host 8,000 guests, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Part of the larger initiative known as “Project BHISHM” – Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog, Hita, and Maitri, these innovative cubes are designed to treat up to 200 casualties with a focus on rapid response and comprehensive care. The Aid Cube integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics to enable effective coordination, real-time monitoring, and efficient management of medical services in the field.

The modular design of the cube comprises 72 easily transportable components that can be carried by hand, cycle, or even drone, providing unparalleled flexibility. In situations involving mass casualty incidents (MCIs), where medical requirements span from basic aid to advanced care, the Aid Cube shines with its remarkable deployment time of just 12 minutes. This swift capability is crucial, bridging the time gap from primary care to definitive care and potentially saving numerous lives during the critical golden hour of emergencies.

Designed to be robust, waterproof, and lightweight, these cubes offer versatility for various emergency scenarios. Whether deployed through airdrops or ground transportation, the cube ensures immediate response capability.

A standout feature is the advanced medical equipment within the cube, RFID-tagged for efficient repacking and redeployment. The state-of-the-art BHISHM software system, integrated into a provided tablet, enables operators to quickly locate items, monitor their usage and expiry, and ensure readiness for subsequent deployments.

The deployment of these Disaster Management Cubes exemplifies India’s commitment to leveraging technology for efficient disaster response and healthcare, ensuring the safety and well-being of attendees during significant events.
