CM Majhi Reviews Barabati Stadium Preparations for India-England ODI on Feb 9

Cuttack: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the preparations for the highly anticipated One-Day International (ODI) cricket match between India and England, set to take place at Barabati Stadium on February 9. During the review meeting on Friday, he also unveiled a special welcome song for the match and announced plans for the stadium’s reconstruction.

“The state government is taking all possible steps to ensure the success of the ODI match,” CM Majhi told the media, emphasizing Odisha’s commitment to hosting world-class sporting events.

Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Secretary Sanjay Behera briefed the Chief Minister on the ongoing preparations. The review meeting was attended by Sports Minister Suryabansi Suraj, MLAs Prakash Behera and Devi Ranjan Tripathi, and Chief Minister’s Advisor Prakash Mishra.

Following the meeting, CM Majhi inspected the stadium grounds to assess the arrangements. Barabati Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 44,574 spectators, will offer 24,692 tickets for the general public. Ticket sales will take place at the Barabati counters on February 5 and 6.
