
Taralangso: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma graced the momentous occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Karbi Youth Festival (KYF) in Taralangso today. The festival, a beacon of the unique Karbi culture, has been a vibrant representation of Northeast’s ethnic diversity for five decades.
Expressing his sentiments on the official X handle, CM Sarma emphasized the pivotal role of youth as the vanguards of cultural renaissance. He remarked, “Our youth are the torchbearers of our cultural heritage! The Karbi Youth Festival, being the oldest ethnic festival in the Northeast, has admirably showcased the rich Karbi culture for 50 glorious years.”
Despite the challenges posed by adverse weather conditions, the festival remained a testament to the resilience and cultural vibrancy of the Karbi community.
