New Delhi: Covaxin trial in the age group of 2-18 years has been cleared by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) on Thursday. Bharat Biotech International Limited, Hyderabad had proposed to carry out the trial of the vaccine on the age group of 2-18 years.
In the phase Phase II/III clinical trial of the Covid vaccine will be carried out on 525 healthy volunteers by Bharat Biotech.
During the trial two vaccine doses will be injected by intramuscular route at day 0 and day 28. AIIMS (Delhi), AIIMS(Patna) and Meditrina Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur are the places for the trial.
