
Bhubaneswar: After CBSE, CICSE and boards of different states, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has also decided to cancel the Plus II board examination.
This has been decided in view of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic situation and safety of of students, teachers and parents.
Announcing the cancellation of Plus II board exam on Friday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, “The pandemic has affected livelihood and education a lot. However, keeping everybody safe during this pandemic is the priority. For the safety of students, teachers and parents we have decided to cancel the CHSE plus exam this year.”
The CM has directed that the CHSE to come up with a Well Defined Objective Criteria to evaluate the students.
If a student is not satisfied with the assessment then they can appear in the exams, the CHSE will decide the date of the examination considering the Covid situation.
