Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ Triumphs with Seven Wins at the 96th Academy Awards

Los Angeles: In a night filled with glitz, glamour, and unforgettable moments, Christopher Nolan’s biographical thriller “Oppenheimer” dominated the 96th Academy Awards, clinching an impressive seven awards at the Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles. The ceremony, which began at 4 am IST, saw Nolan’s masterpiece securing the coveted Best Picture award, reaffirming its status as a cinematic tour de force.

Nolan himself was lauded for his exceptional directorial prowess, earning him the Best Director trophy. The film’s leading actors, Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr., also stood in the winner’s circle, with Murphy taking home the Best Actor award and Downey Jr. receiving recognition as the Best Supporting Actor.

In a captivating portrayal that left audiences and critics alike in awe, Emma Stone claimed the Best Actress accolade for her role as Bella Baxter in Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Poor Things.” Stone’s performance added another layer of brilliance to the evening, showcasing her undeniable talent and versatility as an actress.

Supporting the stellar cast of winners was Da’Vine Joy Randolph, who was awarded the Best Supporting Actress for her role in “The Holdovers.” Her remarkable performance contributed to the film’s success and brought a well-deserved honor to her name.
