Bhubaneswar: The State-level Children’s Festival “Mahak” concluded today with a grand prize distribution ceremony at Kalinga Stadium, celebrating the creativity, perseverance, and talent of Odisha’s young minds.
Organised by the Women & Child Development Department and the Odisha State Child Protection Society, the two-day event served as a vibrant platform for children from across the State to showcase their abilities in dance, music, painting, debate, and quiz competitions.
Director of ICDS and Social Welfare Monisha Banerjee, Additional Secretary Krutibasa Rout, and UNICEF Odisha Field Office Chief William Hanlon Jr. graced the occasion and encouraged the children for their participation. Speaking at the event, they noted that Mahak was not merely about competition but about learning, creativity, and self-expression. They also lauded the festival as a reflection of Odisha’s cultural richness and the resilience of its young generation.
The celebration of talent and enthusiasm will continue as the three-day event “Utsah” is set to commence tomorrow at Kalinga Stadium, promising another round of engaging activities and performances dedicated to children’s growth and inspiration.
