Chief of Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar Inspires Future Armed Forces Leaders at DSSC

Wellington: Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral R Hari Kumar, paid a visit to the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) in Wellington on March 28, 2024, where he addressed the future leadership of the Indian Armed Forces attending the 79 Staff Course. During his insightful address, Admiral Kumar emphasized the rich maritime legacy of India and the pivotal role of the country’s geographical location in shaping its maritime character, especially in the Indian Ocean Region.

Highlighting the Indian Navy’s remarkable transformation into a combat-ready, credible, cohesive, and future-proof force, Admiral Hari Kumar underscored the significance of self-reliance (Aatmanirbharta) in achieving this feat. He reiterated the Navy’s commitment to upholding national security and protecting India’s maritime interests.

Admiral R Hari Kumar delved into the recent operations conducted by the Indian Navy, including anti-piracy missions, showcasing the Navy’s proactive stance in safeguarding vital trade routes and maritime assets. Stressing the importance of jointness and integration among the Armed Forces, he emphasized the need for seamless coordination to accomplish national military objectives effectively.
