Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Inaugurates Key Developmental Projects in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several pivotal developmental projects across five districts in Odisha on Monday. The projects, part of the state’s comprehensive development plan under the 5T initiative, aim to enhance tourism, infrastructure, and cultural preservation.

The inaugurated projects include the transformed Harishankar Temple in Balangir district, Odisha’s longest flyover spanning 3km at Joda in Keonjhar district, a 762m-long railway over-bridge at Jatni Kudiary in Khordha district, Odisha’s longest bridge covering 3 km over the river Mahanadi on the Athmallik-Dhalpur road, a 600-meter bridge over the Tel river on the Rakdor-Fasad road, and a bridge over the river Mahanadi on the Boudh-Marjakud link road.

Additionally, foundation stones were laid for upcoming projects, including the development of Shri Shri Achyutananda Das Gadi in Cuttack, Maa Ugratara Shakti Pitha in Khordha district, and a 1738-meter-long bridge over the river Mahanadi on the Baunsuni-Birmaharajpur link road in Boudh district.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik emphasized the importance of these projects in bolstering tourism and infrastructure development. The transformation of the Harishankar Temple, a significant Pitha in Odisha, aligns with the Integrated Development of Heritage and Monuments and Tourist Destination plan. The Chief Minister highlighted that this initiative aims to enhance services for travelers and contribute to the economic development of the region.

Patnaik stressed the cultural identity of a nation, emphasizing the moral responsibility to preserve it. He expressed hope that the development of revered Pithas like Shri Shri Achyutananda Das Gadi and Maa Ugratara Shakti Pitha would strengthen the emotional bond among the people of Odisha.

Inaugurating the state’s largest flyover at Joda, the railway over-bridge at Jatni, and other key infrastructure projects, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik highlighted the transformative impact on the state’s communication system. These developments, part of the 5T initiative, are instrumental in reducing travel time and enhancing connectivity, ultimately benefiting millions of people. The Chief Minister underscored that effective communication is the cornerstone of prosperity, and the 5T initiative has significantly contributed to infrastructure development in the state, paving the way for comprehensive progress.
