New Delhi: The Centre on Tuesday decided to cancel the CBSE Board Class XII examinations this year due to the present Covid situation in the country. The final decision was taken after a review meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired.
The Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has also cancelled its ISC examination.
The Class XII results will be made as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner. However, like last year if some students desire to appear in the exams then the board would provide such an option to them whenever the situation is suitable.
The Prime Minister said that the decision has been taken in the interest of students.
