BJD Announces 6th List of Candidates for Assembly Elections

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled the party’s sixth list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Odisha on Saturday.

The latest list includes notable names such as Ollywood actress Varsha Priyadarshini and former Congress member Ganeswar Behera, who recently joined the BJD.

Varsha Priyadarshini, who joined the regional party just three days ago, secured the party’s ticket to contest from the Barchana Assembly segment.

The fresh list of BJD candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections includes:

Chilika: Raghunath Sahu
Andandpur: Abhimanyu Sethi
Saraskana: Debasish Marandi
Karanjia: Basanti Hembrum
Remuna: Bidyasmita Mahalik
Simulia: Subhasini Sahu
Barchana: Varsha Priyadarshini
Kendrapara: Ganeswar Behera
Champua: Sanatan Mahakud
