Bhubaneswar’s Snehasis Das Secures AIR 60 in NEET 2025, Set to Join AIIMS for MBBS

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reason to celebrate as Bhubaneswar-based student Snehasis Das has emerged as the state’s top scorer in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2025, or NEET (UG) 2025, with an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 60. Scoring a percentile of 99.9972390, Snehasis’s performance has placed him among the country’s brightest medical aspirants.

With his eyes now set on joining the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for his MBBS, Snehasis is one step closer to his long-cherished dream of becoming a neurosurgeon. A passion he has nurtured since his early school years, the field of neurological science became his calling after watching medical videos on YouTube and engaging in conversations with his grandfather, an Ayurvedic doctor.

“There are no shortcuts to success in NEET,” Snehasis said while addressing the media following the results. “Consistency is key. I made it a habit to study 5 to 7 hours daily, balancing school and coaching. That discipline helped me stay on track.”

His journey to success was driven not by endless study marathons, but by a steady routine, strategic mock tests, and self-study. “Regular practice and revision matter far more than long, irregular study hours,” he advised NEET aspirants. “Be positive, stay dedicated, and never lose hope.”

What sets Snehasis apart is his clarity of purpose and calm demeanor. Unlike many students who push themselves into unhealthy study cycles, he found strength in a consistent rhythm—usually sleeping by 1 am and dedicating 7 to 8 hours each day to studies. His inspiration, he says, came from his grandfather’s insights into the world of medicine, which sparked an early interest in anatomy and healing.

Despite not coming from a family of doctors, Snehasis carved his own path with determination and focus. With admission at AIIMS on the horizon, he now begins a new chapter that brings him closer to his goal of mastering the human brain and serving society as a neurosurgeon.
