
Bhubaneswar: Around 100 officers of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Odisha participated in a training programme on artificial intelligence and digital tools held at the State Institute for Women and Children in Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar on March 13.
The programme focused on prompt engineering, data analytics, presentation creation using AI tools, and deep research through various AI models. Director of the department Monisha Banerjee attended the training along with departmental officers and officials.
During the sessions, participants were introduced to the practical use of AI platforms for drafting reports, analysing data, conducting research and preparing presentations more efficiently. The programme also included demonstrations and hands-on learning to help officers understand how AI tools can support decision-making and administrative work.
Officials said the initiative was aimed at strengthening the digital capacity of officers and encouraging the adoption of emerging technologies in governance.
They added that integrating AI-based tools into daily administrative functions will help improve efficiency, transparency and innovation in the functioning of the department.
