Bhubaneswar to Get Direct Flight Services to Ghaziabad and Port Blair from March 30

Bhubaneswar: Air connectivity from Odisha’s capital is set to expand with the launch of direct flights to Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and Port Blair in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Starting March 30, Air India Express will operate daily flights on these routes under the Odisha government’s New Destination Policy.

Announcing the development, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) stated that the new services will enhance connectivity between Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, and Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi welcomed the move, emphasizing that better air links will drive tourism, trade, and economic development. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister as new flights to Ghaziabad and Port Blair take off shortly under the New Destination Policy—boosting tourism, trade, and seamless connectivity.”
