
Bhubaneswar: This year, the opening date for the Bali Jatras in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack has coincided, with both events scheduled to commence on November 15.
The date for the Cuttack Bali Jatra was finalized in September, while the decision for the Bhubaneswar Bali Jatra was made during a meeting of the Bhubaneswar Bali Jatra Mahotsav Samiti on Monday. The meeting was attended by the Khurda district collector and all members of the Samiti.
It was decided that the Bhubaneswar Bali Jatra will run until November 24, while the Cuttack Bali Jatra, which will be held on the banks of the Mahanadi River, is set to continue for eight days until November 22.
The Khurda district collector assured the Samiti members of all possible assistance for the successful organization of the Bali Jatra. Additionally, the Commissionerate of Police will implement necessary security measures to ensure the safety of visitors and traders attending the Jatra.
With both events poised to attract large crowds, organizers are preparing for a vibrant celebration of culture and tradition, even amidst the scheduling clash.
