Bargarh: The vibrant town of Bargarh is aglow with dazzling lights as it prepares to host the world’s largest open-air theatre, Dhanu Jatra, set to commence tomorrow. The 76th edition of this extraordinary 11-day festival will captivate spectators until January 25, bringing to life the rich tapestry of tradition and culture.
Final touches are being added to the meticulously crafted Raj Darbar and Ranga Mahal, designated for the portrayal of the legendary demon king Kansha’s court. Standing at an impressive 95 feet in height and 45 feet in length, the Raj Darbar at Hatapada promises to be a visual spectacle.
Arch gates embellish the town, adding to its allure and setting the stage for a cultural extravaganza. The Ranga Mahal, adorned in vibrant hues, awaits the unfolding of the mythological drama. With 14 distinct stages spread across a vast expanse of nearly seven kilometers, Dhanu Jatra promises an immersive experience for all attendees.
