Argentina Lifts the Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup Title

Bhubaneswar: Argentina junior hockey team lifted the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup Champions title defeating Germany in the final match played at Kalinga Stadium today.

Argentina defeated Germany by 4-2 goals. 

Argentinian player Lautaro Domene, who scored three goals from penalty corner chances, was named Player of the Match.

In the semi final match, India suffered a crushing 1-3 defeat against France in the bronze medal match.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik handed the trophy to the winning team. Congratulating the winning team,he appreciated all the teams for playing with true spirit.

He also congratulated Hockey India and the officials of the sports department of Odisha government for successfully conducting the event.
