Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, today e-inaugurated 30 state-of-the-art smart schools in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The inauguration ceremony, held in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and other dignitaries, marked a significant step towards advancing education infrastructure under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 initiated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Addressing the gathering, Amit Shah highlighted that these 30 smart schools, developed by the Ahmedabad Municipal School Board at a cost of Rs 36 crore, symbolize a transformative shift in education delivery. He detailed that among them, 9 schools are situated in Ghatlodiya assembly constituency, 10 in Vejalpur assembly constituency, 4 in Naranpura, and 7 in Sabarmati. Shah emphasized that these institutions will directly benefit over 10 thousand children, ushering in a new era of knowledge and enlightenment.
Furthermore, Shah noted the broader educational reforms in Gujarat, revealing that out of 69 schools in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, 59 have been upgraded to smart schools, with plans underway to enhance the remaining institutions. He underscored the integration of skill development, vocational training, and digital empowerment into the curriculum of these schools, alongside advanced facilities such as Mathematics and Science Laboratories, Future Classrooms, 3-D Educational Charts, and 3-D Painting, rooted in Indian cultural ethos.
