Air Marshal Vibhas Pande Commends Innovations at Air Force Station Tughlakabad
New Delhi: Air Marshal Vibhas Pande, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Maintenance Command, paid a visit to Air Force Station Tughlakabad on March 5, 2024. Accompanied by Ruchira Pande, President of the Air Force Family Welfare Association (Regional), they were warmly received by Air Commodore Rishi Seth, the Air Officer Commanding at Air Force Station Tughlakabad, and Anjali Anand Seth.
During his visit, Air Marshal Pande expressed his appreciation for Def-Tech Expo 2024, which showcased modern niche technology alongside displays of indigenized projects by the Depot. The expo aimed to highlight the Depot’s achievements in the field of indigenization, with active participation from private partners in various projects. Air Marshal Pande commended the base’s efforts in aligning with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, emphasizing capacity building through innovation. He also took the opportunity to explore the Depot Historical Cell, which chronicles the milestones of its long and illustrious history.
Engaging with station personnel, the AOC-in-C underscored the importance of reducing dependency on imports, enhancing domestic manufacturing capabilities, and fostering self-reliance. Air Marshal Pande encouraged the air warriors of the Depot to innovate and strive towards developing home-grown solutions to enhance the operational capability of the Indian Air Force. He praised the involvement, enthusiasm, and focused approach of all Depot personnel in ensuring support to operational units. The visit aimed to acknowledge and encourage the ongoing efforts of Air Force Station Tughlakabad in contributing to the nation’s self-reliance and indigenous technological advancements.
