With a three-class cabin configuration, Air India’s A350-900 boasts 316 seats, offering passengers a blend of comfort and cutting-edge technology. In its statement, Air India highlighted that while the initial deployment of the A350 on domestic routes serves crew familiarization and regulatory compliance purposes, travelers from major cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai will have the chance to enjoy the unmatched features of the A350.
As the first Indian carrier to integrate the Airbus A350 into its fleet, Air India expressed its commitment to expanding the aircraft’s operations. The airline outlined its future plans for the A350, hinting at its deployment for long-haul flights to destinations across continents.
The Airbus A350-900, with registration VT-JRA, represents the initial delivery of Air India’s order for 20 A350 aircraft, with an additional five units scheduled for delivery by March 2024. This significant step reflects Air India’s ongoing efforts to enhance its fleet and provide passengers with a world-class flying experience.
