Hyderabad Police Summon Allu Arjun for Investigation in Connection with Sandhya Theatre Stampede

Hyderabad: Hyderabad police have issued a new summons to actor Allu Arjun, directing him to appear at the Chikkadpally police station at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

The summons is in connection with the tragic death of a woman during a stampede at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, which occurred during the premiere of “Pushpa 2.” The incident has sparked political controversy in Telangana, with calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to the stampede.

This latest development follows a protest where demonstrators vandalized the actor’s Hyderabad residence on Sunday evening. In response to the unrest, a Hyderabad court granted bail to six individuals who were arrested for allegedly damaging Allu Arjun’s residence.

In light of these incidents, heightened security measures have been implemented at the actor’s residence. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Hyderabad’s West Zone, several individuals gathered outside Allu Arjun’s home holding placards unexpectedly, leading to the chaos.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy condemned the attack on Sunday and instructed the state Director General of Police (DGP) and the city police commissioner to take stringent steps to maintain law and order.

The investigation into the Sandhya Theatre stampede continues, with authorities working to determine the factors that led to the unfortunate loss of life during the film premiere.
