
Bhubaneswar: VK Pandian, Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, delved into the exhibits showcased at the World Oriya Language Conference exhibition on Tuesday, expressing keen interest in the diverse displays presented by various departments of the Government of Odisha.
During his visit, Pandian explored the ‘Dome of the Future,’ an installation by the government’s IT department, where he immersed himself in the exploration of new technologies, with a special focus on the emerging realm of Metaverse. Engaging with the interactive exhibits, he gained insights into the potential applications of these technologies in the future.
Venturing into the special exhibition dedicated to the Odia language, Pandian inquired about the historical significance of the language and its multifaceted usage. The exploration aimed to enhance his understanding of the rich cultural heritage embedded in the Odia language.
Interacting with school students attending the exhibition, Pandian engaged in discussions about the various aspects and benefits of both the conference and the exhibition. The exchange with students provided a valuable perspective on the impact and relevance of such initiatives on the younger generation.
The tour of the exhibition was attended by Chief Minister’s advisor R Balakrishnan, IT Secretary Manoj Mishra, Culture Director Dilip Rautrai, OSEPA Director Anupam Shah, and other senior officials. The presence of dignitaries underscored the significance of the event in promoting linguistic and cultural heritage, as well as technological advancements in the state.
