New Delhi:<\/strong>\u00a0The National Cadet Corps (NCC) held its two-day \u2018Varshik Niti Samvad Shivir\u2019 on June 4-5, 2024, in New Delhi. The conference aimed to review the progress of NCC’s ongoing expansion plan in line with Government directives to meet the aspirations of the youth. The event was inaugurated by DG NCC Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh and attended by Additional Directors General and Deputy Directors General from NCC Directorates across the country.<\/p>\n

Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh highlighted the substantial efforts made over the past year to enhance training, infrastructure, and logistics functions within the NCC. He emphasized the importance of institutionalized training as the core mission of all Directorates, aiming to contribute meaningfully to nation-building, social awareness, and community development programs. He reiterated the NCC\u2019s unwavering commitment to motivating young Indians and transforming them into responsible citizens, aligning with Government policies towards making India a \u2018Viksit Bharat\u2019 by 2047.<\/p>\n

The conference was held at the newly-renovated Pratap Conference Hall, DG NCC Camp, Cariappa Parade Ground in New Delhi. The hall is named after Cadet Sergeant Pratap Singh of the 10th Punjab Battalion NCC, Gurdaspur, who was awarded the Ashok Chakra Class III for his gallantry and selfless devotion to duty during firefighting operations at Gurdaspur Railway Station on September 13, 1965, during the war.<\/p>\n
