Ahmedabad: In a concerted effort to enhance the “Ease of Living” for pensioners, the Department of Pension & Pensioners Welfare, under the Government of India, is conducting awareness workshops for Central Pension Processing Centers (CPPCs) of Banks and their field functionaries. These workshops aim to educate and familiarize officers handling pension-related tasks with various rules, procedures, and digital initiatives undertaken by the government.
Led by V. Srinivas, Secretary, Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare, a Central Government Team will conduct a workshop for officers of Bank of Baroda in Ahmedabad on March 5th and 6th, 2024. The integration of pension seva portals of major Pension Disbursing Authorities such as SBI, PNB, Bank of Baroda, and Canara Bank is a significant step towards providing seamless banking services to pensioners through a single portal.
With a focus on reducing pensioners’ grievances, these workshops will address the challenges faced by bank officials in handling pension-related processes. The sessions will enable the Department to introduce new digital initiatives and further streamline services for the benefit of pensioners. Over 70 officers from CPPC and pension-dealing branches of Bank of Baroda are expected to participate in this workshop.
