
Bhubaneswar: In a significant move to strengthen academic leadership across the state, Odisha Governor and Chancellor Hari Babu Kambhampati has appointed Vice Chancellors for 14 universities.
The appointments, made under the provisions of the Odisha Universities Act 1989, were announced through an official notification from Lok Bhavan.
As per the list, Prof. Santosh Kumar Tripathy will head Fakir Mohan University, while Prof. Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Ravenshaw University. Prof. Chandi Prasad Nanda will take charge of Utkal University, and Prof. Sanjaya Kumar Patro has been named Vice Chancellor of Dharanidhar University.
Among other appointments, Prof. Byomakesh Tripathy will lead Gangadhar Meher University, Prof. Asima Sahu will head Khallikote Unitary University, and Prof. Sibaram Tripathy has been appointed to Madhusudan Law University. Prof. Pawan Kumar Agrawal will serve as Vice Chancellor of Maa Manikeshwari University.
Prof. Mahendra Kumar Mohanty has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, while Prof. Jyotsna K.B. Rout will head Rama Devi Women’s University. Prof. Bibhuti Bhusan Malik will take charge of Rajendra University, and Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra has been named Vice Chancellor of Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University.
Additionally, Prof. Hrushikesh Senapaty will lead Vikram Dev University, while Prof. Satyanarayan Acharya has been appointed Vice Chancellor of Odia University.
The Governor expressed confidence that the newly appointed Vice Chancellors will play a crucial role in enhancing academic standards, promoting research, and shaping the future of higher education in Odisha.
