Women Tie Rakhi to Trees in Ganjam District

Berhampur: Sending a message that trees are the true protector of earth to deal with pollution, women in Ganjam district observed Raksha Bandhan in a different way. 

The Ghumsur North Forest Division observed Raksha Bandhan in different forests of Bhanjanagar in the district where women tied Rakhi to trees.

The initiative has been started under the supervision of the Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Sudarshan Badi to motivate people to plant more trees and protect the forests for the future.
