Odisha, UAE Explore Trade, Export and Skilled Workforce Opportunities

Abu Dhabi/Bhubaneswar: Odisha is exploring greater trade and business opportunities with the UAE, with a focus on boosting exports, facilitating exchange of goods and creating new avenues for skilled professionals from the state.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a roundtable discussion with members of the Indian Business & Professional Group (IBPG) in Abu Dhabi as part of Odisha’s UAE Investors’ Meet.

The interaction focused on strengthening business cooperation between Odisha and the UAE and expanding opportunities for trade and exports. Key sectors discussed included turmeric, ginger, seafood and food processing, besides contract manufacturing for leading UAE brands.

The meeting also explored the potential for deploying highly skilled professionals from Odisha to meet workforce requirements in the UAE, opening another avenue for economic cooperation between the two regions.

Odisha-based companies Ruchi and Farrm B, B-one, which have an established presence in the UAE, also participated in the interaction. IBPG President Rajiv Shah attended the roundtable.

The discussions are part of Odisha’s efforts to deepen international business linkages and attract investment while creating wider markets for the state’s products and talent.
