
Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar Embarks on a Two-Day Tour to Mumbai, Puducherry, and Cuddalore
Bodh Gaya: Speaking at the 6th Convocation Ceremony of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya, the Vice-President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, emphasized the paramount importance of core values in leadership while cautioning the youth against unethical shortcuts.
Addressing students and faculty members, Dhankhar stressed the indispensability of ethical leadership, stating, “Ethical leadership is non-negotiable; compromising ethics cannot make you a winner of the kind that the world will salute.” He urged the youth to uphold ethical principles, recognizing their role as torchbearers of India’s future.
Emphasizing the concept of economic nationalism, the Vice-President urged citizens to embrace ‘Swadeshi’ and ‘Vocal for Local’ as national habits. He highlighted the potential benefits of such initiatives, including significant contributions to foreign exchange reserves, job creation, and fostering entrepreneurship.
Commenting on India’s economic progress amidst global challenges, Dhankhar noted the nation’s upbeat mood and surging global image. He encouraged students to leverage talent and skills to contribute to India’s growth story, emphasizing the presence of an enabling ecosystem and promising opportunities.
Shedding light on India’s advancements in cutting-edge technologies like quantum computing, machine learning, 6G, and green hydrogen, the Vice-President highlighted the abundant opportunities available to young minds. He urged students to think innovatively and explore the endless possibilities offered by the startup ecosystem.
