Veteran Actor Uttam Mohanty Airlifted to Gurugram for Advanced Treatment

Bhubaneswar: Renowned Ollywood actor Uttam Mohanty, who has been battling serious health complications, was airlifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram for advanced medical care. The decision to shift him was made after doctors in Bhubaneswar deemed it necessary for him to receive specialized treatment.

Mohanty, who is reportedly suffering from cirrhosis of the liver, was initially undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, where he was placed in the ICU on ventilator support. As his condition worsened, arrangements were made to transfer him to Delhi NCR for better medical intervention.

The news of his deteriorating health has deeply affected his fans and the Odia film industry, with many expressing their concerns and offering prayers for his recovery. Social media has been flooded with messages of support, as admirers recall his immense contribution to Odia cinema.

The veteran actor suddenly fell ill while shooting for Babusan Films’ upcoming movie “Bou Butu Bhoota”. Following his health emergency, he was rushed to a hospital in Bhubaneswar. The film, directed by Jagadish Mishra, features him alongside his wife Aparajita Mohanty and son Babusan Mohanty, with actress Archita in a lead role.
