
Supreme Court Issues Contempt Notice to Patanjali Ayurved for Violating Assurance on Misleading Advertisements
Dehradun: Uttarakhand has taken a significant step in the ongoing saga surrounding Patanjali products, suspending the licenses of 14 items manufactured by Patanjali’s Divya Pharmacy with immediate effect.
According to a report by India Today, the state’s licensing authority revealed in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court on Monday that it had decided to suspend licenses of 14 products due to their association with the misleading advertisements case.
The banned products, all from Divya Pharmacy, include Drishti Eye drop, Swasari Gold, Swasari Vati, Bronchom, Swasari Pravahi, Swasari Avaleh, Mukta Vati Extra Power, Lipidom, Bp Grit, Madhugrit, Madhunashini Vati Extra Power, Livamrit Advance, Livogrit, and Eyegrit Gold.
This move comes amidst ongoing legal proceedings related to misleading advertisements, with the Supreme Court set to hear the matter regarding the apology published by yoga guru Ramdev and his associate Acharya Balkrishna on April 30.
