The Union Minister unveiled plans for the ambitious Green Tug Transition Programme (GTTP), a project poised to position India as a global leader in the production of environmentally friendly ships. The creation of a Ship Repair Cluster in Kochi was also revealed as part of the endeavor to establish a robust ecosystem for India’s shipping industry.

Anticipating a doubling of CSL’s turnover to ₹7,000 crores within the next four years, he underscored the initiatives as catalysts for national progress, advancement, and job creation.

Highlighting the significance of these projects in realizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision for an Atmanirbhar Bharat, Shri Sonowal emphasized their role as expressions of national pride, showcasing India’s prowess in engineering and project management. The projects, collectively valued at ₹4000 crores, embody the spirit of ‘Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas.’
